The question that fills a repair shop's phone is "is it ready yet?". The tracking page answers it before anyone has to ask, and it does some other jobs too.

Each customer gets a personal link. It opens a page with every repair they have with you, one card per device. A card shows the stage it is at (booked in, being diagnosed, being repaired, ready to collect), the dates, any updates you have written, photos you chose to share, and the warranty once it is finished.
There is nothing to install and no password to forget. The link signs them in, and it is personal to them and expires.
Approve or decline a quote, or ask a question about it.
Pay an invoice by card, or choose to pay in the shop instead.
Ask to cancel or change a booking. They send the request and see that it is waiting. Nothing is cancelled or moved until you approve it, and they are told either way.
Choose how you contact them. WhatsApp updates and offers are separate switches, and offers stay off until they turn them on.
A request to cancel or change a booking shows as a notification and as a banner on the job, with the customer's note and the day they asked for. Approve or decline with one button and an optional message. Approving a cancellation cancels the job, and any deposit still has to be refunded from the invoice.
Most "is it ready?" calls are not really about the repair. They are about not knowing. A page that always shows the current stage removes the reason to ring. It also means a customer can say yes to a quote at ten at night, which is when many of them will look at it.
Customers only ever see their own repairs. The pages are not listed in search and are marked so search engines leave them alone. A device passcode, if the customer gave one, is never shown there.
